Hello,
I am having a difficult time narrowing down my selection for purchase of an engagement ring. I was wondering if I could get your advice?
My fiancée would like this diamond paired with a rose gold setting.
Thank you.

Here is a link to the settings that I had in mind. I was looking for something a little more simple and classic look:
Settings:
Six-Prong Solitaire Plus Hidden Halo Diamond Engagement Ring in 14K Rose Gold
Petite Hidden Halo Solitaire Plus Diamond Engagement Ring in 14k Rose Gold
I absolutely love the settings you picked. The combination of rose gold and a delicate diamond under-halo is beautiful. For the center stone, I’d go either with a J+color round diamond or an I+color princess cut. There’s no need to go with high color grades as it would look identical.

These three princess cuts are absolutely stunning. You did a great job finding them! They have a gorgeous cut and will be very bright and brilliant in person.

This one is not such a great choice as it’s too deeply cut. It’s better to keep the depth % closer to 61.5 and it should never exceed 62.5%.
I also found these two that I really liked:

They also have fantastic specs and either of them would make an amazing ring.
Thank you very much for the advice. Unfortunately I cannot take all the credit with selecting the diamonds. I did watch some of the Diamond Pro YouTube videos to help me have a better understanding of diamonds. I would be blind otherwise. Haha.
My last question is in regards to carat size 0.8 to 0.9 how big of a difference is this? Meaning would you be able to immediately tell the difference? I would prefer not to spend the extra money on the carat size if it is not needed.
I’m glad you found our videos informative, I can see you learned a lot from them.
As for the carat weight, that’s not the actual size of a diamond. It’s its weight. If you check the real measurements of those two I sent over, you can see that the 0.8ct round diamond is significantly larger than the 0.9ct princess cut. Round diamonds always look the biggest thanks to the way they are cut. So if size is your priority, then the round option is the way to go.
Thanks for all your help. I am just getting the ring size figure out and I will purchase the ring. It should be complete in the next few days.
Perfect!
