Looking at proposing to my girlfriend and I looked at your recommendations for proportions regarding a round cut stone and wanted know if the following would be considered good choices from James Allen:

This one is cut a bit too deep (62.8%). Ideally, the depth % should be close to 60 and never exceed 62.6.

Here, the table % is too large (61%). It should stay between 55-58 %.

This VS2 is great and I see the dimensions are spot on to what you’re referring to. My question is with this diamond you chose, is possible to see any of the imperfections with the naked eye? I thought with VS2 depending on the imperfection you can see it? That’s one of the reasons I went VS1 but if I can get a near perfect-value VS2 with zero flags visible than I’m all for it.

The clarity grade only tells you about the size of the inclusion(s), not the location, and not whether the diamond is eye-clean or not. You can find an eye-clean SI diamond and a VVS that’s not.
