Dear Sir or Madam,
I am in process of buying a diamond ring with a pave setting. I think round cut is the most classic and I personally liked it the most. Diamond I am looking should be at least 1 carat.
As I want most for my money I am turning to your expertise. I do want bigger diamond, but not in expense of the quality.
As I am from EU, my only choice actually is Blue Nile. So I’ve came across following diamond:
Blue Nile LD15299234
Do you think it’s good value? Based on the GIA report, the cut should be perfect (also the angles are right). Maybe the problem is just too many dots inside?
I would ask you if you could help me find better one for around above one price?
…
I’ve found another one, which has all the angles and proportions right:
Blue Nile LD15523230
Its a bit more than previous one, but might be better cut.
May I ask what style setting you want to put the diamond into?
As for the diamonds you sent me, I would skip the G stone with medium fluorescence, it might end up looking hazy in daylight.
Blue Nile LD15523230
This one is stunning, you did a great job finding it! It’s perfect in every single detail.
I will put the diamond into white gold pave.
For the one you said it’s ok – does it have too many flaws?
The H VS2 is absolutely eye-clean, there is no way those tiny inclusions would be visible in person. It’s a gorgeous diamond.
I see it’s sold now, were you the one to purchase it?
I have asked Blue Nile to put it on hold for me, yes.
I have asked them to arrange 6 prongs instead of 4. You think it will look better?
Ok, great!
The prongs are totally an aesthetic choice. 6 prongs would give the diamond a rounder look and add some extra security.
